101DGF: 101.6mm Double Glazed Front Glazed Framing

Envirotech Façade Solutions has started its design process with a blank sheet. Instead of short cutting the process and utilising the traditional shopfront suites of the 1960’s, EFS has instead designed a range of commercial suites which meet or exceed todays’ requirements, codes and architectural trends.

The 101DGF system is a 101.6mm (4") x 60mm double glazed front glazed system designed to be used in most commercial and semi commercial applications. This suite also caters nicely for those looking for a more robust , cleaner looking design option for up-market housing applications. The front glazed system not only allows for a cleaner more modern looking system than its centre glazed counter-part but also provides the added benefits of a higher performance drainage system as well as greater living room or office space.

This system has a glazing pocket opening width of 39mm, which allows for the use of glass up to 35mm thick while still providing a minimum glass cover of 12mm ensuring compliance to AS/NZS 4666:2000.These design features translate to designers and fabricators having the ability to glaze thicker and therefore larger pieces of energy efficient glass than many of the other suites currently on offer to the market.

This new design has a male and female mullion with a minimum rebate depth of 18mm, which allows for a glass edge clearance of at least 6mm, significantly reducing the risk of scratching the frame or damaging the glass during glass installation.
From a performance perspective these features mean that designers need not compromise their designs in order to achieve performance requirements for thermal, acoustic, structural and water ratings.

The EFS 101DGF system is complimented by its ability to seamlessly integrate with our ‘AC-35’ & ‘AC- 50’ awning-casement window systems, 101DGW Sliding window system and the 101DGD sliding door system to name just a few.
